Why choose a Master in Management?

Choosing a Master in Management means committing to a five-year investment, and above all, to a career. The Master in Management is not simply a degree: it is an integrated programme combining academic excellence, progressive professionalisation, an extensive graduates and corporate partner network, and a structurally international outlook. All of this serves a clear objective, defined since its inception by EDC Paris Business School: to train entrepreneurial leaders capable of operating in a complex global environment.

Over five years and 300 ECTS credits, the Master in Management at EDC Paris Business School takes students from an introduction to management through to advanced specialisation, including a mandatory international semester, internships, and the possibility of work-study during the master cycle. It is this coherence across the entire programme — rather than any single element — that makes the Master in Management a strategic choice for employability, mobility, and professional impact.

Academic excellence and purposeful selectivity

The academic excellence of the Master in Management is rooted first and foremost in its selective admission process: whether through the SÉSAME post-baccalaureate entrance exam, via Parcoursup, or through parallel admissions, candidates are assessed on their motivation, academic record, and career ambitions. This selectivity is not an end in itself; it ensures a demanding and stimulating learning environment in which each student evolves within an ambitious and engaged cohort.

From a pedagogical perspective, the Master in Management at EDC Paris Business School is based on an active learning approach: project-based learning, real-life case studies, business games, continuous assessment, and interdisciplinary projects each semester. From the first year, the flagship Business Exploration project requires students to simultaneously apply knowledge in economics, management, law, and communication — a transversal approach that develops the ability to think and act in an integrated way, as senior executives do.

The programme also addresses major contemporary transformations: entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, data, geopolitics, sustainable development, ethics, and corporate social responsibility. These are not optional modules, but structural components of the curriculum.

Finally, the Master in Management awards a State-recognised Master’s degree, EFMD-accredited and registered with the RNCP, ensuring strong national and international recognition and making it a benchmark qualification for both employers and further studies abroad.

Accelerated professionalisation (internships, work-study, projects)

One of the key strengths of the Master in Management compared with other Bac+5 programmes is its structured and progressive approach to professionalisation throughout the entire course. It is not a final-stage requirement; it is embedded from the very first year.

The typical progression is as follows: from the early years, students complete internships that allow them to discover the corporate world and identify their areas of interest. These initial experiences build essential professional awareness before entering the specialisation phase.

During the master cycle (fourth and fifth years), students may opt for a work-study format, with a rhythm of three weeks in company and one week in academic classes. This allows them to take on responsibility-driven roles directly linked to their chosen specialisation: Finance, Audit & Accounting Expertise; Marketing, Data & Business Intelligence; or Business Development, Entrepreneurship & International.

This model of progressive professional integration is particularly effective: work-study students build a highly legible professional profile for recruiters, with directly demonstrable skills in project management, data analysis, business development, and financial control. Partner companies of EDC Paris Business School frequently recruit their apprentices at the end of their contract, significantly accelerating access to the first permanent position.

Network and international exposure to accelerate careers

A professional network is built over a lifetime. One of the most enduring advantages of the Master in Management is access to a professional community from the very first years of study.

The alumni network of EDC Paris Business School, known as Force EDC, brings together graduates working across all sectors and internationally. Mentoring, referrals, networking events, internship and job opportunities: this network is a concrete resource that supports career development long after graduation.

The school’s corporate partners further strengthen this ecosystem by providing direct access to work-study placements, co-designed academic projects, and targeted recruitment opportunities.

From an international perspective, the Master in Management includes a mandatory academic exchange semester, which is a graduation requirement, as well as opportunities for internships abroad from the end of the first year. EDC Paris Business School relies on a global network of partner institutions, including access to its Barcelona campus. For students wishing to complete the entire master cycle in English, the International Excellence in Management Track (full English track) offers a fully immersive linguistic and intercultural experience, ideal for pursuing international mobility after graduation.
