research center - DIVE Workshops
On January 17th 2019, EDC Paris Business School Observatory and Research Centre on Entrepreneurship (OCRE) is organising a workshop on “Entrepreneurship innovation and governance”.
A two-way perspective from academicians and practitioners;
The capacity of companies to develop investments in innovation is above all influenced by their methods of governance. Over the past fifteen years, many studies have examined the influence of corporate governance on entrepreneurship and the development of innovation (Lu and Wang, 2017, etc.). Several studies have demonstrated the heterogeneous nature of companies, especially regarding methods of governance, which affect their performance in terms of innovation activities (Le Breton-Miller et al, 2015).
The first edition of this workshop will look at the complex relationship between entrepreneurship, innovation and governance. Our goal is two fold:
- Contribute to the debate on the decisive factors for entrepreneurship, specifically, the conditions for the emergence of innovative companies, such as start-ups.
- Focus on the profiles of individuals, such as entrepreneurs, innovators, administrators, etc., and their modes of governance as mechanisms for producing innovative ideas and company development.
