Admission process

Sésame is a competitive entrance examination, designed for high school students who are studying towards the French Baccalaureate or an international equivalent (all specialisations) and for applicants who have already passed the Baccalaureate.  

Sésame is common entrance examination to 14 french business and international management schools issuing a fully accredited master’s degree by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research.

  • 8th April 2020: written test

Languages (Multi-choice questionnaire, 80 questions)

Reasoning and competencies (Multi-choice questionnaire, 45 questions)

Analysis and contemporary knowledge (Multi-choice questionnaire, 60 questions)

  • 17th April to 6th May 2020: oral test
  • Mid-may 2020 : admission results on “Parcoursup”

You have already started a first semester in a university, and you have a change of heart? You now wish to follow business studies in a ‘Grande Ecole”.
EDC Paris Business School allows you to join its Grande Ecole programme in February 2020, in deferred admission.

It allows students to join the 1st year, following an intensive programme adapted on one semester, under the following conditions:

  • Classes during the school holidays
  • Possibility of classes or exams on Saturday mornings and Thursday afternoons
  • E-learning tracks

After a first semester of higher studies in another programme or institution, applicants who wish to make a change of studies can apply via Link Entrance Examination, for the January 2020 session (written and oral tests), by downloading the application form.

Admission to 2nd year is open to applicants who have validated a first year in a state-recognised institution and with 60 ECTS credits or a level-3 certification registered by the RNCP.

They must complete an application including their French Baccalaureate (or equivalent) transcript, transcripts from the current year and/or a certificate attesting to the course currently being followed and a letter of recommendation.

If the application is accepted, an interview will be held to assess the applicant’s background and motivation.

Once their application for EDC Paris Business School has been approved, these students will be asked for a transcript attesting to the validation of the 60 credits in order to finalise their enrolment.

Applications to enter the 3rd or 4th year of EDC Paris Business School Grande Ecole’s programme may (only) be made via Concours Passerelle (www.passerelle-esc.com).

One session only: 15th April 2019

This session is for holders (or future holders, in the same year) of:

  • a 2-year undergraduate degree, that is, 120 ECTS credits (for the “Passerelle 1” exam for entrance to 3rd year)
  • a 3-year undergraduate degree, that is, 180 ECTS credits (for the “Passerelle 2” exam for entrance to 4th year)

Deadline for entrance exam registration : 3rd April 2020

These tests are common to the 10 schools open via the Passerelle entrance exams.

3 written tests :

  • English : Multi-choice questionnaire, 60 questions (1h15)
  • Synthesis (2 hours) : study of a file focussed around a given issue (social, culturel, economic) and the writing of a synthesis
  • Test (45 mins) among of 11 possibilities (Arithmetic and reasoning, general knowledge and literature, law, economics, spanish, geopolitics, management control - accounting, project management, marketing, sales negotiation, sports and society) 

2 oral tests :

  • 1 english oral (20 minutes of preparation then 20 minutes of oral) : synthesis of a text in english followed by a discussion with a jury
  • 1 interview (20 à 30 minutes) in order to assess the ambition, the creativity the study project and the willingness to become engaged in school life

International: applicants will be permitted to sit their oral tests remotely, on the condition that they are abroad at the time of the oral exams, for professional reasons only (only proof of an internship abroad will be accepted for this exemption).

On Saturday 29th February 2020, EDC Paris Business School assists you in your preparation and enables you to test yourself under real conditions at the school. This mock exam is free of charge, whether you are already registered for Concours Passerelle or not.

For French-speaking students: possible only as part of inter-university agreements for obtaining a degree.

Students may follow the 240 ECTS credits programme but without obtaining the degree.

1st year (MBA 1): for holders of a Bac +3 (Bachelor, etc.), and professionals wishing to take on key responsibilities in a short-term project.

2nd year (MBA 2): for holders of a Bac +4 minimum, and professionals wishing to take on key responsibilities in a short-term project.

  • Bac+4 in any field / RNCP degree, level 2 minimum / M1 or professionals with 3 years’ full-time experience
  • English skills: results of an English test (TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC) C1 level, compulsory for all non-native applicants, or those who obtained their higher education qualification in English (1 year minimum).

GMAT, GRE, TAGE MAGE not required
