"REALITES" The humanitarian association of EDC allows students to develop a spirit of solidarity and teamwork by participating in projects and actions aimed at helping hospitals, sick children, the underprivileged, the elderly, and other humanitarian foundations. Among the most significant projects: “Un Hôpital, Un Jouet, Un Enfant”, the organisation of an information day for “Protégeons nos vies”; and participation in the 4L Trophy humanitarian rally to Morocco.

Club Des Entrepreneurs - The vocation of the CDE is to promote entrepreneurship through encounters between professional entrepreneurs and EDC students, during conferences, workshop-debates, business breakfasts and meetings. These encounters allow students to deepen their understanding of businesses and form a starting point for great vocations. A “Women Entrepreneurs” section, set up in 2007, is designed to showcase the professional careers of women business leaders.

EDC Consulting

The Junior-Enterprise® of EDC is one of the top 4 in France, and one of the few to have received the “Label Entrepreneur” awarded by the CNJE (Confédération Nationale des Junior-Entreprises). EDC Consulting is run entirely by students. It is organised like a real company with three key departments: Commercial, Studies & Quality, and Human Resources. Its 11 active members have successfully gained the confidence of major groups and business creators.

EDC Promo is responsible for the mediatisation of the school through the presence of students at many conferences and advisory forums in Paris and around France, as well as the School’s Open Day and Evenings.

Bureau Des Sports - The BDS allows students to enjoy their passion for sports, including rugby, golf, sailing, football, karting, tennis and horse-riding, every Thursday afternoon, and to represent EDC at the university championships and national sports events (Course Croisière Edhec, 24 heures de l’Essec…).

It’s also about having the drive to develop assignments, projects and services you have been entrusted with, and to make them a success.  The accomplishments of our students have confirmed EDC’s pedagogical position which is based on alternating theoretical courses with direct experience. EDC constantly appeals to their sense of commitment, their spirit of initiative and their capacity to focus their energies.

THE EDC – “TROPHÉE ETHIQUE & GOUVERNANCE”

The EDC – Trophée Éthique & Gouvernance is held each year at Théâtre Marigny in Paris in the presence of Senator & former Prime Minister of France, Jean-Pierre Raffarin. A jury composed of 11 personalities from the world of business and education presided over by Alain Dominique Perrin, President of EDC and Executive Director of Compagnie Financière Richemont, awards French and international businesses for exemplary ethical initiatives, and honours one man or woman as an “Entrepreneur of a passion”. Research and selection of the nominees is carried out by the students of the “EDC – Trophée Éthique & Gouvernance” Association.
The “Entrepreneur of a passion” is elected by the 1000 students of EDC.
Through this prestigious event which brings together a large public and is relayed in the French and international press, EDC carries high and proud the values that it defends: ethics, respect and solidarity.

The EDC Sailing Team came 2^nd in its category in 2009 in the famous EDHEC Race, and 9^th out of 70 overall. A real joy after a year’s preparation!

In 2009, the National Confederation of Junior-Enterprises® awarded EDC Consulting, the EDC’s Junior-Enterprise, the “Entrepreneur Label”.
This official recognition was won thanks to the approach set up by EDC Consulting to help entrepreneurs (business creators and leaders).
Composed of 11 administrators and 91 members, EDC Consulting is also a member of the Senior Committee of the National Confederation of Junior-Enterprises® in charge of evaluating the other Junior- Enterprises®.

"Pour ma part, j'ai ressenti l'organisation et le fonctionnement des associations comme si elles étaient de véritables petites entreprises. Les expériences que l'on peut en retenir donnent une réelle valeur ajoutée pour notre avenir. Participer à la vie associative m'a donné la possibilité d'évoluer au sein d'une structure et de mettre à profit ce que l'on peut apprendre en cours : négociation commerciale, comptabilité-trésorerie, finance, management d'équipe et de projet... Mais cela permet aussi de devenir plus professionnel et plus ouvert dans notre manière de faire les choses. Ces associations nous permettent de prendre des responsabilités et des engagements. C'est motivant et formateur donc il ne faut surtout pas passer à côté."

La reprise d’une association est quelque chose de complexe à gérer.

Il faut savoir intégrer les problématiques de la structure et répondre aux exigences de l’administration EDC, des étudiants et de soi-même.

EDC Consulting est une association différente qui touche le cœur du savoir-faire de l’école, à savoir l’entrepreneuriat.

En un an, on y apprend la gestion d’une véritable PME avec ses contraintes mais surtout ses atouts qui permettent de se familiariser avec le monde du travail.

Je conseille donc à tous ceux qui sont motivés, ayant la fibre entrepreneuriale et l’esprit d’équipe de s’inscrire à EDC Consulting.

"Reprendre Infomédia avec des amis était un projet né lorsque j'étais en 2e année. Pouvoir réaliser ce projet cette année était donc déjà en soi une immense satisfaction. D'un point de vue personnel, je me suis rendu compte de la vraie signification du mot "association", tant les personnalités et les profils des membres d'Infomédia étaient divers et variés. Cela m'a permis de développer mes capacités relationnelles, en tant que manager de cette belle équipe, pour remplir les objectifs que nous nous étions fixés pour chaque projet. Professionnellement parlant, Infomédia était un peu notre petite entreprise à nous, qui a su sortir de la crise. Nous avons ainsi eu à traiter de problématiques financière, d'image, humaine, logistique, ... et cela s'est révélé être une expérience très riche, qui a parfaitement complété cette année scolaire. Du plaisir, des défis, des rencontres, de l'expérience, furent les ingrédients d'un très bon cru 2011 pour moi, en tant que Président d'Infomédia."

Que m'a apporté mon expérience en tant que président d'une association de EDC?

Beaucoup de choses! Humainement c'est génial, on est tout le temps en contact avec plein de gens intéressants dont ceux de l'administration. Il faut compiler avec les comportements, caractères de chacun dans un seul but, faire avancer l'asso! 

De plus, dans l'avenir je souhaiterais être entrepreneur et c'est un très bon moyen d'y arriver  car une asso c'est un peu une petit entreprise.

Je conseille donc à tous de s'investir dans les assos et surtout dans le Bureau.
