The Observatory and Centre for Research in Entrepreneurship (OCRE) is a central part of EDC. The research work carried out within OCRE is evaluated and validated by a scientific committee composed of important names from the French and international academic world.

Set up in 2006, OCRE is dedicated to two areas of research in keeping with the vocation of the school:  

1.     Decision-making tools for managers and directors of SMEs:

• Company Management,
• Innovation Management,
• Marketing,
• Intercultural Management,
• Sustainable Development.

 2. Entrepreneurship:

• Identifying Business Opportunities,
• International Entrepreneurship (born global),
• The role of the network in the entrepreneurial process, 
• Intrepreneurship,
• Entrepreneurial Intentions.

Each of the research staff have doctorates specializing in the major functions of companies.

Membership of OCRE is not limited to the lecturers and researchers of EDC. Membership can also be extended to other specialists responding to the necessary scientific criteria.

Each year, OCRE organises a conference on “Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Development”. The conference brings together researchers, practitioners and institutions.

The 4^th conference took place on the 14^th and 15^th of May 2010 in Sousse, Tunisia.  Its theme was: “Entrepreneurship: an effective response to the economic crisis?” and was sponsored by AIREPME and Académie de l’Entrepreneuriat.

En collaboration avec l’Institut des Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Carthage (IHEC),

l’Observatoire et Centre de Recherche en Entrepreneuriat (OCRE) organise son Vème colloque sur le thème :

« Les dispositifs de promotion de l’entrepreneuriat : modèles, enjeux, évaluation »

Sous le triple parrainage de l’European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB), l’International Council for Small Business (ICSB) et l’Académie de l’Entrepreneuriat et de l’Innovation (AEI) et en collaboration avec l’IHEC Carthage, l’Observatoire et Centre de Recherche en Entrepreneuriat (OCRE) de l’Ecole des Dirigeants et Créateurs d’entreprise (EDC Paris) organise la cinquième édition de son colloque sur le thème : « Les dispositifs de promotion de l’entrepreneuriat : modèles, enjeux, évaluation », les jeudi 24 et vendredi 25 mai 2012 sur les Côtes de Carthage en Tunisie.

Il sera précédé, le mercredi 23 mai 2012, par un tutorat doctoral en entrepreneuriat.
